This time we have the pleasure of hosting Dan Murdock (Chief Architect Connected Transport at Irdeto). During this presentation we will get a brief introduction to biometrics and different modalities with an overview of biometric use cases in vehicles. We will also talk about metrics and state of the art in biometric security, followed by examples from voice biometrics. Finally, we will discuss a case study on second factor authentication using biometrics for in-vehicle payments.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Dan Murdock : Dan is the Chief Architect of Irdeto’s Connected Transport Business Unit and has been working in Cybersecurity for over 15 years, working globally with many of Irdeto’s Fortune 500 customers. Prior to working for Irdeto, Dan worked in the automotive industry for Ford, Motorola AEG (prior to Continental’s acquisition) and Visteon in both North America and Germany.
